Scope and Definitions

This Privacy Policy describes the data processed within the scope of the PlakaNet desktop application (WinUI 3, Windows 10/11) and our official website. The PlakaNet application operates on-premises and processes data locally by default.

Data Controller / Data Processor Role

In scenarios where you operate PlakaNet on your own infrastructure, you are the data controller. As the PlakaNet software provider, we do not process data except for software updates and optional support services. Cloud or third-party integrations are only activated through your configuration.

Data Categories Processed

• License plate information (text), timestamp, camera ID, entry/exit events.
• Optional visual/data: screen capture, video recording, vehicle image.
• Operator actions (manual entry/exit, notes), system logs and error records.
• In paid parking mode: duration, tariff, fee/receipt information (not designed to contain personal data).

Processing Purposes and Legal Basis

• Access control, security, and parking operations management (legitimate interest/contract performance).
• Event records and auditing (legitimate interest).
• Fulfillment of legal obligations (where applicable legislation exists).
• Marketing or analytics purposes do not exist by default; not performed without explicit consent.

Locality and Transfers

• By default, data does not leave your device/corporate network.
• HTTP/TCP device, LED board, barrier integrations only call endpoints you define.
• International data transfer may only occur through your explicit integration preferences.

Retention Periods

Retention policies are configurable. Default example: transaction records 90 days, images 30 days. Threshold-exceeded data can be deleted with automatic cleanup tasks.

Security Measures

• Local disk encryption (e.g., BitLocker), access control (Windows accounts), role-based operator permissions.
• TLS 1.2+/1.3 for application and network traffic, certificate validation (pinning where possible).
• Integrity checks, logging, and anomaly detection.

Third Parties and Processors

No third-party data processors exist by default. Cloud/integration services you configure are subject to their own terms and agreements.

Your Rights

You have rights under GDPR/KVKK including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability. For requests, contact your internal data controller. Software facilitation tools may be provided.

Children's Data

PlakaNet is not intended for children and does not knowingly process children's personal data.

Cookies

There are no cookies in the desktop application. Our website may only use mandatory technical cookies.
